bCompassPlusCompass Plus, an international provider of retail banking software and electronic payments systems to financial institutions, announced it has opened a new office in Dubai and appointed Adil Ahmed as regional director for the Middle East and Africa.

With Compass Plus’ growth in recent years throughout the Middle East and Africa, the Dubai office serves as a business centre in the region and places Compass Plus amongst many of the world’s largest technology providers. The expansion in Dubai enables Compass Plus to benefit from the strong infrastructure and international accessibility associated with the city’s role as an international business hub.

The company selected Mr. Ahmed to lead expansion efforts in the region due to his 20 years of experience in the banking and electronic payments industry. Prior to joining Compass Plus, Mr. Ahmed founded 3SC Technologies, a system integration company. Previously he held management positions with eFunds Corporation, Oasis Technologies, Digital Corporation and Philips, with focuses in product management, software development and quality assurance amongst others.
