Compass Plus holds International TranzWare/TranzAxis User Group 2012

ITUGCompass Plus held another successful International TranzWare/TranzAxis User Group from 29th February to 2th March 2012. The Furama Hotel Resort in the picturesque seaside city of Da Nang in Vietnam became the home of the Compass Plus’ VI User Group that brought together over 110 delegates from 60 organizations in 20 countries around the world. Since the inaugural user group over 7 years ago, the event has become traditional for many of its attendees, enabling the representatives from banks and processing centers, analytical agencies, international payment networks and other payment technology providers to share their experiences using Compass Plus products in different configurations and environments, to develop new ideas and discuss current and future retail banking and electronic payments industry trends.

The event had a content-rich agenda covering a broad range of topics where every participant, be it a financial service provider or a hardware specialist, could find an array of presentations covering issues that are most relevant to them.

The presentations that highlighted the practical side of using TranzAxis, a completely new platform in retail banking, attracted particular attention from the user group participants. Natalya Plokhaya, Head of the Processing Department, Neyva Bank, where the system was launched in April 2011, shared her experiences and future plans using TranzAxis for a full-scale automation of retail banking. Sergey Belkin, CIO of the processing company Multicarta, stated the advantages of using TranzAxis as a host for the management of banking self-service terminals.

Substantial attention was also paid to the presentations about new developments within the Compass Plus’ flagship product range - TranzWare, its roadmap and real-life examples of the innovative banking services implemented by the customers.

“We are grateful to Compass Plus for arranging the whole event, it has been very interesting, we have had a chance to network with other industry professionals, get an idea of how TranzWare and the auxiliary modules are being utilized. We found it very interesting and have identified a number of ideas for us to bring back to our management committee. It has been very useful and I think the networking opportunities are really helpful for exchanging ideas and opinions.”

Sohail R. K. Hussain, Chief Business Officer, City Bank (Bangladesh)

“The speakers have extensive expertise and as expected have clearly outlined new products and new vision for Compass Plus future with regards to system improvements and new developments. Compass Plus and ourselves hope that we will have new products from the company and they will help us to satisfy our clients. It is very important for our company to regularly meet up face-to-face with Compass Plus in order to really enhance the relationship and address any issues we might have. We encourage our staff to attend these conferences.”

Tarek Yehia, Deputy General Manager, Director of Operations, MSCC (Processing Center, Egypt)

It is of no surprise that the other topics of interest and lively discussions were around untraditional distribution channels for banking services, contactless and the development of remote banking channels, as these are the current key industry issues, with Compass Plus customers sharing their experiences and know-how of successful and profitable projects.

“The event was very good – a lot of presentations were useful for my role within the bank, for example, the talks about new services for banking channels, internet banking enrolment via ATM, etc … were very interesting. The hotel accommodation and entertainment were very good, I enjoyed it very much.”

Phan Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of Card Center, VBARD (Vietnam)

In addition, the presentation about the Compass Plus’ newest venture into the field of education and high level professional development in the field of payment technologies has truly captivated the audience and generated a lot of positive comments.

“One of the few events with a large number of participants and no faults in terms of the content of speeches, the schedule, which the organisers managed to strictly adhere to, nor the organisation of the event itself. To my memory it is a rare occurrence. I hope that the company does not lower the bar in the future.”

Michail Zhuravlev, General Director, Multicarta (Processing Center, Russia)

“First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for the organization of the successful ITUG event in beautiful Vietnam and for providing an opportunity to strengthen our partnership. For me, I participated at the ITUG event for the first time and I am very glad. I think Compass Plus organizes the event in a very extraordinary way. We learnt many things that we could do in the future and we did see other international bank's completed projects. We are very thankful to exchange our point of view with your company for our banks recent developments and would like to note that it was a very effective and interesting discussion.”

Medree Balbar, CEO, Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia

“I was pleased with the balance between the warm and friendly holiday environment surrounded by like-minded people and the work atmosphere of the official part of the event. A beautiful hotel, good weather, excellent company and a highly attended conference – this is a rare achievement for most organisers, though practically a rule for Compass Plus. As a whole, I think that balance is a virtue of Compass Plus and its TranzWare products.”

Yuriy Gudkin, Head of Processing Department, Bank Rossiya (Russia)

Lanter, SmartCardService, Arcom, Inpas, HP Russia, Wincor-Nixdorf Russia, Thales e-Security and Ingenico were sponsors of the event. They carried out a number of consultations and negotiations whilst adding variety to the user group with their interesting presentations. These companies made the agenda richer and more multi-faceted, making it more appealing to all the user group participants.

Youri Koliakin, CEO of Compass Plus said of the event: “It is very important for Compass Plus to get together with our customers and partners to tell them about our achievements and plans, to get feedback and listen to their suggestions and ideas. We are very pleased to receive such high praise for our recent user group, which proves that this event and the environment that we create for constructive discussions, as well as the exchange of practical experiences is very important for our customers.”
