Kapital Bank launches a new Visa Dual Card
Kapital Bank (Azerbaijan) and Visa have introduced Dual Card in the CIS and South-East Europe, the first debit and credit card utilising only one chip.
The chip of the new card contains the numbers of both cards, which enables the cardholder to use it as a debit and credit card. The card also allows the use of different accounts with various currencies.
“Azerbaijan has become the first country in the region in which we have launched this innovative product. Its development is the result of an innovative approach to produce a modern card solution that meets the market needs. I hope that consumers will benefit from the new product and that it will have appositive effect on all kinds of electronic payments in Azerbaijan. We are committed to continue to work with our partners, governments and regulators to create modern payment solutions for the promotion of non-cash payment forms in Azerbaijan,” said Igor Kovalev, Visa Regional Manager in Azerbaijan, Belarus and Moldova.
“Kapital Bank has the largest service network in Azerbaijan and provides services to customers in 90 branches and two offices across the country. The bank pays special attention to cooperation with international payment systems. We have been working with Visa since 2003. I am confident that this project will also bring success to Kapital Bank,” commented Vyusal Nagiyev, Channel Sales Executive at Kapital Bank.
Visa cards are available at all branches of Kapital Bank, or online via the bank’s corporate website. Kapital Bank offers payment cards with expiration periods of one, two and three years, in various currencies such as Azerbaijani Manats, US dollars and Euros.
The processing centre of Kapital Bank is built on TranzWare software from Compass Plus.
