UNISTREAM Bank launches cash-to-card transfers for MIR with support from Compass Plus

Russia’s MIR national payment system has confirmed the successful launch of cash-to-card transfers for UNISTREAM Bank, which will enable customers to top up their MIR cards at all UNISTREAM service points, as well as on the bank’s website via online transfer. To top up their card, the customer only needs to type in the card number – the funds will be available immediately after the transfer is completed.

This service has been implemented with support from the Compass Plus Processing Centre. The project, which was completed in a short timeframe and in compliance with industry standards, saw the direct connection of UNISTREAM Bank to Russia’s National Payment Card System (NSPK) and enables fast transfers at any UNISTREAM service points around the world.

The launch of the service is part of a long-term strategic collaboration between Compass Plus and UNISTREAM Bank. The bank is also working on a project to connect to UnionPay International and complete its certification to offer cash-to-card transfers, –which will enable the bank’s customers to make transfers to UnionPay cardholders.

“Our cooperation with Compass Plus has been established for several years now and it is beneficial for both sides commercially, as well as in terms of reliability and flexibility of provided services”, – said Kirill Palchun, Сhairman of the Вoard at UNISTREAM Bank.

“The growth of our outsourcing business is one of our top priorities. We always seek long-term partnerships and strive to provide our customers with products and services which meet the highest industry standards and current market requirements”, said Alexey Osipov, EVP at Compass Plus.
